Friends of The Walks were pleased to be chosen as recipients of a donation from the King’s Lynn Town Guides for the second year. The Town Guides collect money from their walks and annually donate any surplus funds to local ‘worthy causes’. In recent years they have guided over 50,000 visitors and gifted over £110,000 to different projects in the town.
At a ceremony at the Town Hall, Rick Morrish thanked the Guides for their continued support. Last years grant has gone toward a revised and enhanced Walks ‘Tree Trail’ that will shortly be launched. He announced that this year’s grant will go toward a project to revitalise information signage in the Walks and to review and republish the ‘Walk in the Walks’ leaflet with information about the history of our Park.
